5 minutes with Oz

It was getting towards the end of the day, and I realised I hadn’t taken my 365 shot for the day, so I got my camera and had 5 minutes with my son while he was playing in the sandpit and down on the grass [note, the caption in the pictures is me being a bit cheeky!]

He’s such a great model at the moment!  He stood exactly where I asked him to, and when I said to pull a funny face he did just that and had us both in stitches!  Not bad for a 2 year old :)

From a technical point of view, all of these shots were taken with my 85L II on my 5Dmk2. I haven’t used the 85 since the last wedding I shot a couple of weeks back, and I usually use it on the 7D as a 135 equivalent (while having the 35 or 24-70 on the 5Dmk2).  It was a real joy to use on the 5D2, and most of the pictures you see above have has a slight bit of exposure and clarity adjustment, but that’s it.

Also, it’s the first time I’ve exported images for the blog with the “Print” function from Lightroom.  I created a couple of “Custom Package” layouts and printed to JPEG to create the image sets above.  It still needs a bit of work – there’s a white line in a couple of them at the join of the pictures, and it’s not a very efficient way to export.  I’ll play some more and try and get something I’m happier with.
